Steven and KaTrina met in 2006 and were married a year and a half later. They have lived in Jackson County, Alabama ever since, and have been blessed with 9 beautiful children during that time, from age 14 down to newborn. Their first three children were boys, and after that, they had six girls in a row! Their children's names are (in order of age) Phoenix, Axan, Aero, Kayah, Selah, Samara, Nazareth, Jasper Ann, and Amethyst.
Steven has been self-employed for most of his adult life, and once his sons were old enough, he even began a business that allowed them to work with him at times. He is teaching them the craft of carpentry, and together he and his boys build decks, fences, and pergolas. KaTrina homeschools the children, and is also a successful breeder of registered kunekunes, which she loves. In her free time, she enjoys crafts like soap-making and embroidery. She also makes the shirts and hoodies that are available in our shop!
The Brown's are a very close family, and they also love the community they are a part of. Steven is a pastor in their small town, and the Brown's also host monthly Homemaking Skill Sets classes at their farm, open to the public and free of charge. The classes are a popular event in their area, and they cover a wide range of subjects, from bread-making and gardening, to candle-making and painting.
